Default Need some advice on water cooling.

Well, after buying the kingwin arctic liquid cooler, I am very disappointed with it. I'm getting a 5 degree temperature drop ( if that. ) I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on a good water cooler that is effective. The price i'm looking for is around $140-160

I was looking at the thermaltake big water 747 liquid cooler with the nice big 120cm radiator, but i'm still debating whether there is something better out there for my money.

Google Dangerden, and build your own system.

That's what all the gurus will tell you anyways.

They will also tell you that kits suck. They're right.

Ok. Could you guys give me some ideas within that price range? I'm all new to this.

Could I actually make a really good liquid cooling system so that it all costs about $140-170

Yes, you could actually make a very good one for 140-170$.

Go to dangerden, pick out parts (i say use 1/2 tubing or 3/8 if possible), and post the list here. the water cooling gurus will then come in and help you get the best setup for your money.

On the other hand, would you be willing to resell the Kingwin kit? After draining and disconnecting it, of course.

PM me if you are, i know some people who want that kit.
