Pico PSU questions.

Hey everybody I just got a quick question on a new build that I'm doing. The build is rather small in size and I've got a question about my power supply. I've been looking into pico PSU's and I really like how it works (like a laptop cord). Right now the system is only going to be-

An old P4, 2.4Ghz I believe.
1 Hard Drive.
1 Optical Drive
Onboard graphics or an EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512mb PCI.

I was looking at this website and was wondering if any of these will work for my setup.

I've done some research but wanted to see what you guys think.

i know one of our engineers here at work loves the hell out of the mini-box pico psus. he hasn't said anything bad about them and always tells me to get one for my projects. but i always forget.

also a lot of the guys on mp3car.com use the mini-box psus in the in car computers.

I've used several of them in the past. They work and are are pretty awesome. My only frown is that they go up to 200W but that's it. If there were some that went to 250 or 300W I could use them in a gaming NES, which would be awesome.

Thanks for all the positive feedback about the website, I'm glad to hear that it's high quality stuff. Any ideas if one of their 150-200W models could handle that setup?

If I could, I'd tie one Pico-PSU into some sort of a relay.


Then get a powerful brick, keep the pico for the mobo, and use the brick to directly power the video cards.

I'm probably going to use on-board graphics so I don't think I need to go through that. I noticed in your sig that your trying to do an Xbox 360 mod, I'm also working on shoving a PC into an Xbox 360 shell.
