o, the 300watt power supply that came with it was an ANTEC, very nice, but i changed it for a 500Watt anyway
Everything is mod worthy (one guy built a mod out of a car muffler), you can turn any case no matter how nice or crappy it looks into something cool. That's where all the fun is.
a muffler, u have a link of that? i hope to make something nice without spending alot
That's what modding is all about! You only have to spend what you want to to make it what you want it to be... whatever you decide to use, just remember to make it yours! No one likes to see a copied mod...
Have fun! That case should be fine, btw. Lol
kk
i can see that case having lots of potential. you should see what my case started out as. it was ****tier looking than that.
that would be actually a pretty decent case to build in....
minus the 300watt psu *cough*
Start small and work Yer way up. And remember the more mistakes You make the better You'll be in the end. Experiment with gluein the small fiddly stuff to drillin and cuttin the big stuff, just be patient and it will happen.
so ive cut out the side panel, im working on the front, and i was wondering, how can i spraypaint the inside to look like black chrome?
black chrome eh...
start with an etching primer then regular primer.
get some chrome paint and paint whatever you want.
now for black chrome this might be tricky getting ahold of the equipment (compressor, paint sprayer). you want a can (not a spray bomb) of a crystal clear, clear coat. mix in a little candy black if you can get it. if not use a tiny bit of black paint and mix with the clear. this should give you out standing results.
make sure you test little bits of your mix or you might not get the look your after. take note of how many parts of clear to parts of black in your small scale tests so you can get the same look when your ready for the real deal.
you could also try some metal flake black. that might be a good contrast
eg. 2.5ml black to 25ml clear, a ratio of 1:10 parts would be equal to 75ml black to 750ml of clear. and so on...
for americans... 1ml = 1cc
