    Default BIOS question

    Hi all,

I bought this motherboard back in July, and there is an issue where BIOS won't save settings when the PC is shut down. When I boot back up, any settings are set back to default. I have scoured countless sites looking for answers, and well, as you can guess, I have had little luck.

There are occasions when the system completely freezes, there are only two times I have this issue. Occasionally when starting up Zune software(no zune attached,) and occasionally on boot up. I however do not believe they are related to my BIOS issue, personally think this issue is with the HDD's, as they are both a couple years old.

    Motherboard in question: M4N75TD
    RAM: 4GB SuperTalent DDR3 2000(1600)

Yes. One thing I should probably mention is that it saves the BIOS settings in a normal reboot. It is only when I shut it completely down that it resets the settings.

Classic symptom of weak/dead RTC/CMOS battery failure.

The part is typically a CR2032 coin cell, available at your local dollar store.
