Ok, so I got my new replacement hdd from seagate today and hooked it up. But now I cant get any display from either of my video cards. It was buggin out earlier and I thought since my hdd was bad this was my problem. When I turn it on there is no display and the fans rev up and down up and down. Could this be from a faulty mobo or cpu?

What happens if you pull out all the drives/etc?

including the ram and gpu, just leaving the cpu mobo and psu?

Well, it'll need RAM to do anything but beep at you that it doesn't have any RAM, and it looks like your MBB doesn't have onboard graphics, so you'll need to leave that on as well.

so just disconnect the hdd and cd-rom?

Yeah, and any other add-in cards you might have. Also, if you have a system speaker that you can hook up, do that. It might give you some useful beeps.

if it beeps at you your ram is bad. i just went threw this. if it just wont boot right its either a dead cpu or a dead mobo.

how can you tell the difference between a dead mobo or a dead cpu?

you have to swap them out pretty much.
