Not satisfied with the temps his i7 was producing Kayin decided to check the flatness of its Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). As he suspected the IHS had a slight bow in its surface. Like every good overclocker before him he set out to make it flat, and after a few hours and a good bit of elbow grease his i7's IHS is now perfectly flat. He documented the process and has written a nice tutorial on lapping your CPU. Check it out here.
