    Default Laptop HDD/Memory Benchmark Programs?

    Hey guys,

I've come into ownership of a laptop with a T7300 cpu, and a 5400rpm hdd. I'm looking at replacing the ram with 2x2gb pc2-6400, and a 200gb 7200rpm hdd. I'd like to benchmark the system before the upgrade and after, to see what kind of performance gain I get.

(HDD and Ram are salvage parts, and test fine. $0 upgrade? Sure.. if it's a decent upgrade.. otherwise it's for sale.)

    Any suggestions?

Since this system only has a GMA965, I wont be gaming on it, want to see if I can get it to snap up a bit more.

passmark tests are a good start. 3Dmark is also a good test and both have limited functionality free versions.

3dmark free tends to lean more on the graphics performance, which is not needed here. I'll look into Passmark right now.
