    Default FS: Asus 1000HE EeePC - $250

    For Sale.

    My beloved Asus 1000HE EeePC.

    • 10 inch LED backlit WSVGA screen (1024x600)
    • Intel ATOM N280 1.66GHz w/HT (Shows up as 2 cores in Device Manager)
    • 2GB DDR2-800 memory
    • 160GB HDD
    • Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit
    • Wireless-N
    • 1.3 MP webcam
    • Supposed 9.5 hour battery (A good 5 hours in W7)
    • 3 USB, 1 SD/MMc slot
    • Weighs 3.2 lbs (with battery)
    • Windows 7 Upgrade disk
    • Neoprene case
    • Microsoft Office pre-installed (comes with reusable disk)
    • Boots in 43 seconds and shuts down in less than 10 seconds

It's the same one I reviewed here. It will come with the carry case, power cord, and battery. I get at least 4 hours per charge, but usually about 5.

I also have the Super battery for it too. Since it's not an Asus battery, I get a message saying it's no good, but still charging.....?

It came preloaded with XP and you will get all the disks that came with it, but I have since installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit. You will get the Upgrade disk I used for that too.

I would rather have this laptop in the hands of a fellow forum member than some random schmuck on ebay.

Cost is $250 for everything. New netbooks with half the RAM and worse batteries cost more. I'm only selling because I'm getting a new 11.5 inch Alienware and really don't need two laptop computers.

That, sir, is one hell of a deal. If I didn't have a crappier 12" netbook I'd buy that from you so fast...
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

Yea, that's a pretty slick deal! It's pretty hard to find netbooks for under $300, but even when you do, this one is quite a bit better than those.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

Nice! Someone just saved about $100 compared to what it would currently cost for a similar setup.

Easily more than that. The extra copy of Windows 7 is worth about $100 by itself, plus an upgraded battery, and a carrying case! And the netbook by itself retails for $350-400 I think. If I needed another netbook, I'd have snatched this up 30 seconds after I read the post.

One question: did it end up going to a random schmuck?
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

DANG! too slow on the draw! I needed a designated PC for my workshop so I can pull up CAD files. Better luck next time. :S
