Gateway FHD2400 24" LCD Right now

In the future I'll either be getting a 42" Samsung LED TV or a 30" LCD Monitor

when i first started i was using a 15" CRT, then i found a 21.5" CRT and moved to that heavy beast.

moved to a 22" samsung LCD, then about 8-10 months ago i got a 32" 720p samsung LCD tv. i have the 22" mounted about the 32" so i can game/watch tv and use the computer

next would likely be a 37-42" lcd 1080p.

Hanns-G 28" 1920x1200. This will be my one and only monitor for a long while I think.

I'll upgrade to 4K when those come out in the 24-30" range and are only .3" thick. Before that happens I don't see the point in upgrading.

I might also consider getting two more of these Hanns-G monitors and putting them side by side in portrait mode. That would be really nice.

DO IT. It's awesome, the screen area for forums, Ebay, news articles, spreadsheets, documents. However, it's totally arse for video, so you can't have vertical screens on their own..

I bought the first Samsung and the HP new, before deciding Ebay was the way to go, hence my none-quite-the-same collection:

    Primary:
    Samsung 2443BW 24"
    Samsung 245B 24"

    Secondary:
    HP L2208w 22"
    Viewsonic VA2216W 22"

One thing I would caution you on; check the vertical viewing range before you do this. I have one of my 22" panels in portrait mode (despite the stand's complaints), and I've found that it only works well viewed tilted to one side. So, if you have three, one portrait on each side, then you'll probably want to tilt them opposite directions (ie, one CW, the other CCW).

Also, here's my setup (left to right):
    18.5" 1280x1024 Compaq TFT8030
    23" 2048x1152 Samsung SyncMaster 2343
    22" 1680x1050 Samsung SyncMaster 225BW (vertical)
    22" 1680x1050 Samsung SyncMaster 225BW

Yep this certainly sounds familiar! Unfortunately endemic with TN panels...
