    Linux is an open source operating system where we can edit certain programs. And Microsoft Windows is a closed-source operating system.

    The best thing or solution for your query is, Install Windows in your PC then using VMWare Workstation, i got the key from our instructor because he wanted us to test Ubuntu a Linux OS on each of our own PC which mostly runs on Windows XP, VMware is indeed a great software, try to google, and find some opensource of it.

    Main different is Ubuntu is an open source operating system you can get it for free. But Windows operating systems are not open source you should buy licence before you use.
