    Default TV Out not working?

I bought an svideo to composite adapter for my computer as it has svideo tv out but my tv only has red white and yellow. Seems like it should work but it doesn't. Any ideas? Laptop is a Dell inspiron 9300.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true.
