It'd be helpful if you waited more than 4 hours before whining about it. Someone will reply if they can help you out, if not, then oh well. Go trashpicking, ask around... friends, schools, businesses, etc., they are easy to find. The shipping wouldn't be worth it when they are so easy to find laying around if all you really want is an old hunk of crap.

Go to a local 2nd hand PC store. They will probably give you one. Postage to you would be a killer if anyoone would offer you one.

i dont think schools can give them to you, because of some kinda inventory rule where everything they bought has to be recycled otherwise its assumed that it was thrown away and could harm the enviornment

What you should do is call the city. Here's why: In our city, all outdated office supplies/hardware (and sometimes, it's just barely outdated!) are inventoried and removed from office buildings, schools, police station, fireDP, etc... They are all taken out to an enormous warehouse on the military airport where they are placed up for sale at extraordinarily low prices (my friend bought 2 21" CRT monitors a couple of years ago for $10 each). Drawback is you have to wait, first other city offices get first dibs, then officials, then city employees, so on and so on, until jim n joe nobodies like me can have a look. But there is so much stuff there to begin with, there is always lots left over. My point to this very long post is if you just want a crap case to play with, I'll bet you could go fill your car for a hand full of change and practice your modding day and night. You just have to know where to look.
