So I've been itching for a new camera recently. My current main camera is (well was) a Fuji Finepix S5600 - SLR type body with 10x Optical Zoom and 5mp. Nothing amazing now but when I bought it shortly after it came out, it was pretty much the best camera available at the price point. A few years later and I decided I was about due for an upgrade, so I treated myself to this...
Casio EX-FH20
9.1mp and 20x zoom, plus 40 fps still shooting (at slightly reduced 7mp resolution) and up to 1000 fps video (at stupidly reduced virtually useless res lol)
It ticked the two boxes I really wanted ticked, the bigger zoom and the higher MP, and the 40 fps shooting will really come into it's own when I go watch my friend motorcycle racing - catching a good pic of him is a real pain. I wanted to have a little play with the 40fps setting and this is what I came up with - not to bad, if you ask me, bearing in mind today we had probably the worst light in history for photography heh.
