I don't think it was the XPR 400 because it only came with 30 bits and it was supposedly 'the basic model'.

Which one is the one to go for?

Go for Sears Craftsman. I baught a AllTrade and nothing is compatible with it. Then I baught the Craftsman and it works like a charm and it came with a flexshaft (an essential tool for modding). I suggest going with a dremel rip like a craftsman but nothing else. Compatibility will be a huge problem for you.

So I should probably get on with lot of bits... Do the bits break/wear down very often?

If so I could get some off eBay every few months.

yeah bits do wear down. If you get a dremel you NEED to get this :

    http://www.dremel.com/en-us/attachme...=66442&I=66450

It will allow you to use other bits that may last longer. But for cutting deffinatly get a 20 pack of reenforced cut off disks.

man, dremel is the way to go.

we have 3 at out school, they're thrown around, beaten up, dropped, and they're all fine.

plus i have one, but i wanna get the MultiPRO and all of it's little toys for all my modding needs =]
