Led confusion
Ok so I'm wanting to run 82 LEDs for a panel. The problem is I don't have some of the info for the led calculators. All I have is: 3mm, voltage is 3.2 to 3.8, and mcd 5000. I guess I want to run these off molex (which is 5 right?). How can I calculat these out, or will someone help me do it?

Re: Led confusion
Well if you can spare 1 LED then you can do sets of 3 LEDs to one 82 Ohm resistor. Thats for 12v (the yellow wire on the molex plug).
If you were to do 5v you would need an 82 Ohm resistor for every LED.

Re: Led confusion
Ok I'll do that. After the resisters do I just solder all the wires together and buy an empty molex plug?

Re: Led confusion
I found some 82 ohm resistors, but their 1/2 watt flame proof. Is that ok?

Re: Led confusion
Overkill, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Re: Led confusion
Make sure you use a PSU with multiple 12v rails.
