A great number of TBCS members use Firefox, so we have put together a short list of Add-ons that will make your web browsing life much easier. All of the Add-ons we have listed are version 3.5 compatible and are updated on a regular basis which means no bugs for you to have to deal with.

Interesting list, although I have one strong suggestion. Xmarks (formerly foxmarks) excellent service. It stores and sycronizes all bookmarks on a server and updates them on all your computers. Makes my life easier if I have to reformat and I use several computers regularly, need all my links up to date on all my machines. Frankly this is my personal #1 add on.

Mozillas Weave syncs all your tabs, cookies, history, book marks and others to a weave server then you can access it from other browsers at home,work or on a portable firefox. totally fantastic idea

FireFTP is sweet

There is a cool add on what i want what XCoM had, where it had a universal tab menu and you seens previews of all the open tabs. alot like the vista style stuffs.

I think this article would have been more useful if a poll of members was used to establish the ten top add ons. A video download helper is definitely not the number one add on - a security and scripting add-on would have to take this place.

NoScript - IMHO the best add-on for Firefox - keeps advertisements and tracking cookies off your PC and will keep spyware and viruses off your PC too. It makes clicking any link possible because it doesn't matter what scripts are running on the site, unless you tell it to let them run they do jacks hit and do not run.

Chrome/FastDial (sadly awaiting 3.5 update)
CoolIris (if you have not tried this it's worth a go ... fantastic video and image search function - screenshot below)

Um yea, I agree. This was a poor article in my opinion, gotta do better if you want me to come to the front page.
