RAM Compatability issue geil and corsair
i had just got some ram i had to send it back
the ram that i had in my pc was ddr 400 1gb corsair value select@225mhz dual channel (2x512)
i had purchesed ddr 400 1gb geil value ram dual channel (2x512)
when i installed the new ram iit booted then when it came time for the post beeeeeeeeeeep...........................beeeeeeeee eeep................beeeeeeeeeep.....
so i called tech support (i had tried every ram combo b4 i called and un clocked my cpu/ram just to be sure) and they confirmed that the ram was indeed incompatable that sux i was mad but what can u do
and it is not my mobo, because i had RMAed the ram back to newegg and they sent me another gb of the corsair and it works fine
but my advice: if you have corsair ram and you want to get geil ram DONT
there incompatable
