Waiting for the drive to become ready.

Just installed a new lightscribe drive in my computer, and installed the drivers.
I have it on Primary IDE1 it is the only non-sata drive in my computer.

Anyway. . Nero says its waiting for the drive to become ready.
It was one hell of a task installing a second DVD Burner in my XPS case,
had to remove everything. So I would rather not remove it if at all possible.

I have already rechecked the power, and IDE connections.
Disc drive ejects normally, and Devise manager says
the dvdrom drive is working properly.

You think it could be the jumper, or a BIOS setting?

I couldn't imagine it being a bios or jumper setting if it's recognized by the bios and windows. Try anything other than Nero yet? Like vista's native DVD burning that's integrated into explorer?

tried just loading a disc from it?
