    Default Nuvi 200 on laptop

Is it possible to use a Garmin Nuvi GPS as a GPS receiver on a laptop? I have the GPS hooked up to my pc but it only reads it as a storage device. I did a google search with no luck. It would be easier then spending another $50 on a GPS reciever for my laptop.
