Great company, I wish Creative Labs would take a cue from them and back their products this well.
True that. I got a VX Revolution (small wireless notebook mouse) about 4 years ago and the thing is still going strong. I've only changed the batteries maybe twice while using it at least 6 hours a week. I used to keep it in my book bag and take it and my laptop to classes. The VX doesn't have a scratch on it after 2+ years of getting thrown around my back pack, while my laptop is no longer usable...
I would really like my Thermaltake prizes... Thanks everyone for my wonderful prizes!

If you mean cheap as dirt, you can go with some X7 from A4-Tech.
It's not Logitech and for sure not Razer, but it will work.
My advice is X-750BF ( not 750F) and X-748k(black one). These are best low-end mices you can get. If cheap only 2 of those.
Sensor is same as in some Razers and Logitechs but made by cheaper cost so theres some interpolation.

From Logitech you can go with legends mentioned here. G5 and MX518.
Razer released lately one low-end mice too - Salmosa. Can't tell anything on this more than it lacks buttons, only 3.
Death Adder - got cheaper lately too.

Kick some game pad for it too.

    Code:
    ar -r God

I use the razer death adder, gaming mouse but its not tooo expensive, around 60 bucks i believe. I'ts a great mouse. I'm not a fan of logitech ive had three logitech mouses just randomly stop working for some odd reason.

    definately logitech g5
    its better than the g9
the g9 has some more features, but they're really unnecessary
the g5 is cheaper and looks awesome

    get the microsoft intellimouse 1.1

Its under $20, it lasts a long time, and its ambidextrous which is nice if you play lefty like I do. Most of the Razer gaming mice are kinda low profile, and can feel a bit weird. In my opinion they are overpriced. Alot of top gamers still stick with the 1.1

or if you want the black version (which looks nicer IMO, i have 4 of them)

Very nice mouse a piece of luxury.
I use mine with a razer exactmat with wrist cushion bundle, if your get a high end mouse get a good surface to use it on too, glides so nice and has easily adjustable speed, great for gaming and great for doing regular stuff too, the lachesis took a bit of getting used to for me thou as I had the narrower copperhead before it but have grown to really like it now and like w0lv3r1n3 said it looks good too.

But if not for gaming and just for regular computer stuff, I think the plain old ms optical mouse does a good job and is cheap.
