    Default Big card question.

if I were 2 get, lets say, a 9800gx2 card, on a nForce 750i SLI FTW Motherboard mobo, would it cover up any of the normal pci slots? (don't worry about airflow becouse it would be Liquid cooled)

    thxs.

If you just had one, I think it would only be covering a PCIe x1 slot.

well, looking at the pic. the slot is on the right side

and on the motherboard, that's the side of the PCI.. not the pci-e 1x

edit: grumble, grumble, I think I answerd my own question.. guess I would have to do a tricky mod, or just get a usb wireless adapter...

Maybe you could get a PCI ribbon riser?

I'm confused. If they are going to be liquid cooled, then whats the problem? They will only take up one spot each, like a normal card, if they are going to be liquid cooled.

If you meant that only your cpu is liquid cooled, then maybe its time to upgrade a bit and include some VGA cooling in your loop?
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

He will still have to dremel out part of the slot cover on the back, as those take up two slots.

well, I've heard that it only takes up one spot.. but becouse the 2 DVI ports on top of each other I got/get the fealing it would cover one of the normal PCI slots

you can buy those? SWEET, I was afraid I'd have to make one THANKS! that solves all my problems right there

They usually just plug into the board with a ribbon cable.

if it was a normal card a water block would only take 1 slot, but since the 9800GX2 is 2 cards slapped together they take the same space when stock OR water cooled.

    and the card naked,

so a ribbon riser is the only choice. you will only have 1 PCI slot free, in the middle.
