Project: Vento..

hey guys this will be my third case on the go... it is because i have pieces of moditor scattered between two houses and i am still trying to get them all..

so here goes... project vento
as the name kind of states.... it will be extremely vented..

my base case is one my uncle bought me from an auction for $2!!!!

well first thing i did was drew up some pics for the front bezel idea.
this was on the 20th november

probably cant see that pic very well..

the next thing i did was strip the case of its parts... top, sides, bezel, fans, feet and other stuff

then i took a trip to the shops..

also got about 1.5m of railing stuff.. for the feet....

here is is cut into 4 strips.

then i taped of the side pannel... right one... left one is at dads for some reason.

drew out a design on the side pannels.

let me clear this up cuz some people dont get it

the side pannel will have the three holes cut out. then there will be about 2cm raiser then an alumi plate the same shape as the hole just an inch bigger.
this will be clear when i do it.


also marked out the top vent

then with my not so famous hammer and screwdriver technique i cut them both out

that is all for now... im a bit lost so ill do another post in a bit

i did a mock up of the front of the feet.. ie.. side feet on with the cd rom i won in the art contest.

i cut some brackets for the feet to join to... probably glue..

they still need a little bit of sanding but they are not done

fit like so

then i cut 2 brackets for the cd rom to screw into
not drilled yet..

this is what the front will look like just with a cut out for the cd rom part

the cd rom fits really snug

i then marked out all 4 pieces of the feet ready for cutting

then today at school i cut 2 of the 4 pieces.

then did a mock up to see how they fitted

that is all... hoping to get the second side pannel done this weekend but may not.

Nice start and nice cuts. Reminds me of another mod I have seen.

got the other 2 short feet parts cut.

and also filed down a few brackets..

lol updates tomorrow night have been working on side pannel...

its not a window its a vent because its gunna have a piece raised up about 2cm over it.

ill show you when i get more materials.
