    Default Noisy Water Pump

I recently setup my liquid cooling system for the first time, and when i checked for leaks, the pump refused to run as quiet as it did when i first tested it. It sounds like theres air bubbles caught in the pump but theres no bubbles in the system and i cant seem to knock the bubbles out of the pump. When i run it without any fluid its near silent, when its got fluid, its louder than my fan cooled system. Anyone got any idea how i could make it quiet again?

Well, for starters you should never run a pump with no liquid, that is a sure fire way to destroy a perfeclty good pump.

If you have your pump mounted to your case you will probably have to do the whole lift and tilt of the case to try to get any trapped bubbles out of it. If you can remove the pump and twist and turn it, that would be easier. However, due to the fact that you ran it without water, it might be fubar.

i figured it out. since i didnt have a res there was something wrong with the fact that it was pushing water out while having water pushed into it at the same time, i added a res and it went silent
