anyone here ever taken a course through them? i'm already in the process of being approved, just waiting on the ball to start rolling from them.

question is if you have, i know they send you a lenovo computer, anyone have specs on one because they're pretty vague about that kind of thing.

Just did some poking around on google and found the manufactures web site here. Looking at the names told me that somewhere there might be a connection with IBM because the names were like Thinkpad... So I checked IBMs sight and when you select notebook guess where it take you? Right back to lenovo. Looking at the systems depending on how old they are they don't look too bad, The lowest systems on the site:
    Laptop:
    Processor
    Intel ATOM Processor N270 Single Core ( 1.60GHz 533MHz 512KB )
    Operating system12
    Genuine Windows XP Home Edition
    Display type
10.2 WSVGA AntiGlare TFT with integrated camera 1024x600
    System graphics
    Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    Total memory8
    512 MB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz
    Hard drive4
    80GB 5400
    Communication adapter10
    Broadcom 11b/g Wi-Fi wireless
    Battery60
    3 Cell Lithium-Ion

    And the desktop:
    Processor
    Intel Celeron E1200 Processor ( 1.60GHz 800MHz 512KB )
    Operating system12
    Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic
    Form factor
    Tower
    System graphics
    Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100
    Total memory8
    1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz
    Hard drive4
    160GB 7200
    Optical device5
    DVD-ROM 48X Max

Don't know about upgradablity later, but those desktops look like a really good blank slate to mod with depending on the materials.

Just be careful with those distance learning places, make sure they are accredited. Some colleges and jobs won't accept the credits or degrees because later you find out they don't have the right educational credentials.
