They played at the Shoreline? I know they played at the Concord Pavilion (as well as Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in LA, which is where I went), but I wasn't aware of a SF show.

There are 119 ridges around the outside of a US quarter. 118 around a dime.

The ridges on those coins were put there during the depression when the metal used on the coins would be shaved off and resold. The ridges helped prevent the coins from being tampered with.

Rush (the canadian progressive rock band) Recorded the track "Malignant Narcissism" with a borrowed bass and a borrowed drum set. Geddy Lee was using a bass that Fender was letting him try out, and Alex Lifeson had already shipped his drum set home, so he built a 4-piece (presumably bass drum, snare, hi-hat and a tom) drum set for the song. And you'd probably never guess it.

Uhh...hate to burst your bubble here...but Lifeson plays guitar. Neil Peart is the drummer in Rush.

-I'm old enough to hold my preliminary (Ps) license, but I still have a learner's permit. I've only driven once in my life.

-Kevin Warwick has designed 2 chips and have them embedded in his arm as part of an experiment.
-He also in an experiment with one of the chips, he blindfolded himself so he couldn't see and put a couple pairs of sonars on a hat, feeding the data to the chip. After adjusting to it, he could walk around fine.

- Lars Ulrich convinced roomate James Hetfield to sing and play guitar for his band, which he didn't have. the next day, they (along with Robert Tanner) recorded a song for Metal Blade Record's Metal Massacre compilation album.

- Kirk Hammett had the top bunk on the tour bus that killed Cliff Burton but lost it when they drew cards the night of the accident.

- the only big bands i've ever seen live are Puddle of Mudd (free concert), Edguy and Aerosmith (on the roof of a building OUTSIDE of the concert area) and ZZ Top (almost center stage!)
