I really like the look of the last design. I think it fits the overall theme nicely and will keep the look.
I'm really going to have to come see this thing in person, it just keeps getting sweeter!

I agree with the new design. The original one did look cool and all but the curved lines didn't really go. Still was a cool idea though.

That HP Voodoo PC is really cool, you just gave me a new idea for some feet .

Ahhh much better, I like the latest design alot. Not to be a complete copper whore but are you thinking all CF or alternating with copper fins too?

if you have that many fins the CF will be strong enough without question

I too like the idea of alternating CF and copper fins, would look tasty

Thanks for the suggestions folks, I'm going to draw rev 4 assembled now. Then I start on drawing each part to scale for cutting.

I had considered cutting 2x copper fins. Both would be sandwiched between 2x carbon sheets and used for the 1st and last fins, to add a subtle copper accent on the edge.

Thanks a lot guys, I think I'm going to go ahead with rev4, only some very minor revisions to add to it... and I'll let those be a surprise.

I added a splash of colour to the illustration, just to give a better idea of which parts will be made of which material:
