If the side panel is blowing in, it's going to be forcing the hot air from the card to stay inside the case, rather then being pulled out, plus it's almost 100% guaranteed to trap heat below the card.

Are there any fans on the front of the case? Also, make sure there is a clear path from front to back as close to to the CPU as possible.

we have almost the same accept the 20 is a 25 and then 50 is no longer in circulation. and for some stupid reason someone brought up the idea of a $5 coin... seriously. enough with the coins.

i switched the fan around and actually my temp only lowered 1C from having the side panel off (62C) with the fan the other way around it was about 59C

I have 2 fans in front of case, both have filters. I just realized, when i put it together i put both HDDs on the rack RIGHT in front of the CPU, this could be a partial issue, ill look into it tommorow.

EDIT: about a minute after posting this the GPU dropped ot 60C without any changes. o_0

If possible, I'd add another fan lower in the front of the case, to push more air back towards the GPU, and leave the side panel fan pulling heat out.

Could you try replacing whatever thermal material that is on the GPU with arctic silver?

someone on another forum suggested i unplug my top fan and turn my side fan around to blow in again, and now with that fan at full speed my GPU idles at 56C and underload reached 74C in team fortress 2

there might also me a slight decrease in temps on the CPU

But im not sure if these are acceptable for OCing.
