    Default New Pc build.

Ok my xps fiasco is finally over. All the money is back in my account. So now I want to build a new rig.
My budget is about $1500. The lower the better,
    I have few requirements.
The build needs to have just about everything. Besides the Monitors/speaker/mouse/keyboard.
So I need to have a case and vista. It needs to be a complete build.
So include all the fans and artic cool and all that stuff.
I need this rig for gaming. I want it to run all the newer games. Specifically Age of Conan because I want to try it.
    I would like a 3 ghz+ processor and 4 gigs of ram.
That's about it the rest you guys can come up with.

I would do this myself but with all the school stuff going on this year I haven't kept up with the tech.

Thanks so much for all your help. I be adding some rep for helping me.

Off the top of my head...

    780i/790i Ultra
    E8400 or Core 2 Quad
    8800GT
    Crucial Ballistix Tracers
    Corsair/Cooler Master/OCZ/Thermaltake PSU

I'll be back with specifics later.

You just about built my new system

If you go for the 8800GT you might want to consider a BFG version like the OC2 (overclocked) model and definitely fit a GV1000 cooler to it, the temps on mine dropped from high 80s to 55-60 degrees when playing Crysis, the thing really works and the fan ain't too noisy either!

As suggested the 8400 dual core is a great chip and easily oc's to 3.4-3.5 and runs cool especially after I fitted a Zerotherm FZ120 Heatsink, it's huge but works well.

RAM is cheap at the moment 4Gig of quality DDR2 is the way to go, DDR3 is still very pricey.
I used a Zalman ZM600-HP 600W PSU very quiet, modular cables and easily big enough unless your going for SLI and loads of drives and stuff.

Yeah, the only really color/size thing is that I would like it to be a mid tower. Not to worried about the color.

Well there's no sound card, no vista either. I forgot to mention I wanted a sound card.
Also aren't those single slot 8800's bad on cooling?
And I only need the one HDD I don't use a lot of memory.

    Sound Card

    (Today's deal)

    Vista

(Ummm pm me on this. I can get you better.)

    Single 500GB HDD

The video cards run fine. Just up the fan speed to 60-80% and it runs about 5 degrees cooler.
