    Default time to build again

Hi all and thanks for any suggestions that you might have.

The rig I have as my main work and graphic station needs to be upgraded or replaced it is about 3 years old now (see my sig).

I like ATI for graphics and crossfire systems, I like Intel for CPU's would like to have a quad. Not sure if I sould go for DDR 3 ram or just stick with good DDR 2 (800) need a good deal on 2 blue ray drives (read and write) and will need likely 2000 gigs of storage. looking at Asus again for mother boards ( any sugestions?) It will be water cooled or maybe I should try a phase change system not sure about that. And will have to find a good PSU likely a 1000 Watt. It will be a dual boot of Vista 32 and 64 bit OS systems. with dual monitors 32" full hd @ 1080. As well a new case, full tower but as light and easy to use as possible.

Thanks for any suggestions you might have as to hardware you might recomend there are some budget restrictions but will opt out for better gear than save money.

Starting with the graphics, HIS has a decent deal on their variant of the 3870 @ 160 a piece, unless you really feel the need to get 2 x2's

Asus' p5e should suit your motherboard needs, unless you must have ddr3, and it can be bios flashed to either the maximus or rampage formulas

    Intel q9450... 45nm, 2.66GHz 12mb L2 Cache

    mushkin 4gb dual channel ddr2-800

if you don't mind buying 4, these western digital 640 gig drives are raptor fast and very quiet

no idea if its a good deal, but liteon has bluray dvd burners for $60 off

an ideal case would be this Cosmos S from Coolermaster, as it could fit a triple rad at the top and has plenty of ventilation.

I cannot claim to possess knowledge of watercooling, so I can be much of a help there. Hope this helped a bit
