Default TBCS Templates- "I pity the fools, who don't use our tools"

    Hello Modders,

Froop raised a great idea earlier today. We would like to start a download section for hardware templates. The idea is if we can make a collection of ACCURATE models and printable templates of many/most common PC components, people could use them when designing their mods in advance and save some heartache. We would love for any of you who are willing to measure your hardware in metric units and post detailed diagrams here. Eventually, we'll figure out how to translate them into actual dimensions (feel free to solve this in a discussion here). Also, anyone with 3D program experience, we'd like to have a downloadable version of the sketchup (or other) file to use in CAD models as well. What do y'all think?

    Agreed.
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

I guess there is already a site made by a bit-tech member who has compiled many of the 3D models, but what is still lacking are the printable templates. Let's focus on collecting scale templates and maybe we can team up with the other guy to share resources for both of our communities. What do you think?

What do you guys think we should use as a format, someone mentioned .pdf files for acrobat. Any other suggestions?

    I like .pdf
And I have access to Adobe Acrobat, so I could convert them.

I believe .pdf would be the ideal setup. I know for a fact that DesignCAD can save in .pdf format.

Pro/ENGINEER can also save .pdf files. If I can get in the labs at school I might try this, I say might because it's finals week and then I'm out for the summer.
