Hey, Airbozo, if you need to come cool off you can use my pool. I'm by Sac

I would talk to the GM and drop some "hints" to him

The managers at the Honda dealership I worked at recently got away with a bit too much. All they did was bitch at the rest of the employees whenever they felt like it or decided we weren't working hard enough... which we were. You can't stand still there or you get complaints from at least five different people. It was horrible, hence why I left.

Hehe thanks for the promotion sentiment, but the last thing I want is his job. I just want him to be a manager already. I would rather do the work and let him deal with the paperwork and meetings that go with the manager title.

Funny thing is, I really like the guy except for his work ethic (call me old school, but you show up for work, ready to work and don't leave till the job is done).

Yes I am always busy. Even when I have nothing to do. It was hard for me when I first started here, because I ran my own company for several years, setting my own schedule and taking the jobs I wanted to. If I did not have money making work to do, I was always working on something at my house or for my in-laws. (OK I did spend a week straight with only sleep breaks playing BF2 with my buds while they were on vacation) When I started here, I was only challenged for about 4 hours a week and started getting bored real quick. I would miss work knowing there was nothing for me to do, and I would work on my house or contract for my last few customers. Once my work realized what I was capable of (seems like they never read my resume), they started making sure I had something to keep me busy. Now I have been here over 3.5 years which is a record for me at one job without interruptions.

Hehe here I go again, getting wordy!

Don't worry, I'm the same way. That and your rants aren't too bad of a read either.

    Incredible! First thing this morning the manager comes in and starts cooking breakfast. The GM hit the roof and sent this out;

Effective immediately employees are no longer permitted to cook at their desk.

This is inappropriate, unprofessional, a fire hazard, and just not considerate of

fellow employees who have to put up the smell and smoke while trying

    to do their job.

We already experienced one situation where a fire alarm activated causing fire trucks

to be dispatched resulting in a $500 fine.

This is a professional place of work………………… not a restaurant.

My manager is now upset that he is being picked on... DUH! No-one else is stupid enough to cook at their freaking desk!

    Hehe, that is all...

    Unbelievable!!!!!!!!

He didn't get the message the first time, and now he's upset that he's being picked on. WOW. I can't believe he still has a job after blatant disrespect like that.

Upset that he is being picked on? Excuse me where did he get the idea that he had the right in the first place.

Guys, I feel like I am smack dab in the middle of some bad soap opera with this crap. I keep listening for the melodramatic music...

Wow I just read this whole thread. Like who in there right mind would cook at there desk that is what the company kitchen is for. And you dont spend the whole day goofing of and cooking breakfast and lunch on company time that is completly unecaptable. The company should box up his cooking stuff as it is a fire hazard and fedex it to him at his expense.

    That's what I'd do.
