just a simple question (I assume it's simple)
does the length of the tubing in the condenser count as part of the length of the capillary tube (Cap Tube)?

sometimes I feel lost... than I remember I'm not going anywhere.
I do not believe so.
and how do you fit that miniscule plumming .031″ (ish, depending) on to the condensor? do you just use an adaptor? or do you have some kind of storage tank imbetween?
(and thanks crenn )
oh, and can u use a "normal" compressor, instead of a frige compressor?

define normal... it has to be rated for certain specs. you would just clamp the tube coming from the condenser and braze it AFAIK.

I only have very limited knowledge in phase cooling. Either way you need to use a compressor which is compatible with the medium you're using. That's why fridge compressors are often used.... I think.
something like that (this is a car a/c compressor)
and thanks for the reply's Spawn-inc, and crenn

I do not believe that is suited for the job. You have to have an external motor to drive that compressor and I'm not sure what requirements would be needed.
no that wouldn't be ideal, i would assume you would get an electric motor to run the thing? it's best to get a 1/6 to 1/2 HP compressor in there.
read this, it should help somewhat.
