    Default Another n00by question

Guys does it really matter which thermal compound i use on my water blocks or am i better getting something like Arctic silver.

I know that it helps when using fans and heatsinks, but what i want to know is there any benefit when using watercooling.

If your water cooling thermal grease is a must. Every heatsink weather it is fan forced or water cooled should use some sort of thermal compound. Yes get yourself some AS5.

The thermal compound fills the tiny holes on the surface of the CPU and the heatsink allowing for greater contact and heat dissipation.

Also, just wondering what coolant you are using, just curious.

Yes I know but AS5 is still one of the best, it's cheap and easy to apply.

I would go with the Feser One coolant.
