Thats pretty insane. Shame about all the cables trailing behind it. All they gotta do is sort out a compact power supply for it and they may just take over the world

The end product is going to be revolutionary, can you say Halo?

Now all we need is that 30yr life battery to be the size of backpack and we're in business! But how to reduce the size of a battery thats the size of a house to the size of a backpack, now thats the question! Well, I'd be pretty happy with a few hours, the military would probably be pretty happy with a couple days to a couple weeks and... ... well thats it I guess. I can't see this thing going anywhere other than towards the military. But still, its one step closer to mechs! Woot!
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

I can see some very geeky people making Master Chief armor or BioShock armor or something like that for it.

even a battery the size of a back pack is going to weigh a heck of alot. i have some ups's at home that take a battery thats about 2/3 foot long 1/4 foot deep and about a half foot tall. carrying 2 of these for 10 minutes was not much fun. thats not even a back pack! imagine that plus all your regular gear.

Agreed. In fact, some of those prototypes look like they could have came out of Doom as well.

It's not quite a nanosuit but I still want one! That would be pretty dang cool to find uses for... hmm... I can see these being implemented in sports too. Not that I like sports, blech. I'll watch that again with sound when I get home.
