Great work on the side panel, I for one love the large window. Also very nicely crafted, keep it up! +rep

Window looks a lot better now with the plexi in it. The smoked black looks awesome.

Nice plexie! I also like the name. That's a thing which most people forget but it is important.

I don't know about the name =) I always was bad with the name for anything I made. I am glad to hear that this one came up OK.

    NocturnaL
the plans for the case are:

    1. Get blue plexie and cover some exposed parts like the disk bay. (I am also thinking about covering some part of the motherboard that are unused, but I'll see how it comes ous)

    2. I am not sure how it is called. That aluminum part that is replaced when a mother board is replaced? the one that has mouse/usb/sound... holes? I want to make my own out of blue plexi. I think it'll look nice.

    3. I want to put some lights inside (coming from the side where plexi is, toward the parts. So that you don't see the light bulbs exposed, but you see the case glow inside)

    4. I want to take one of the drive bay cover in front of my case, drill holes in it and put knobs in. One for the lighting, three for the fans, so that I can control the lighting and the fan speed when I go to sleep.

just little projects, but I think they will be nice touch. and then I will think on something else. any suggestions?

but all that is only when I get the hardware and everything running (for now I can just wait and think on new ideas).

and thanks for you comments guys, I appreciate them.

any suggestions for new projects are welcome!

That my friend is the I/O cover, I presume you are talking about the one at the back of the case? Shouldn't be too hard to make a plexi replacement, measurements have to be spot on though.

The rest of your ideas sound good though. To me the simplest mods can make a case truly shine. Take this side panel mod, fits in perfectly with the existing case features and leaves room for extra modification if need be i.e fans etc.

People always tell me "I/O cover" and I always forgot =) oh well.
The messurments shouldn't be a problem. I am going to use a panel that comes in a box with a motherboard and trace it to the acrylic's paper cover, then use a rotary tool + file

Here is one more idea... engraving.
I know laser ones look nicer, but I am going to make something with my rotary tool. I am thinking of something simple and not too big, yet it should look clean. Maybe just my name on a bottom right corner of the plexi in a nice script font or something.

I found a great tutorial on this a while back, I will see if I can find it for you.

EDIT: Here you go, found this over at Bit-Tech when I was looking at doing some engraving, this guy is a pro.

Wow... very nice tutorial and very nice work done there....
If I can take some practice and do something nice it would be great touch.....

I figured when I am done doing all projects with this case I am going to unite it into one topic and call it "Sirius Case Mod".

Case name is "Raidmax Sirius" and since I am going to make little changes to it little-by-little it is going to change it seriously =).

I just practiced on a scrap piece of plexi and believe me, the hardest part is going in a straight line.
