A man who can laugh & cry at himself.
People take themselves too seriously. They wrap themselves up in this notion of 'identity' and never go back to see if that reflects who they are or who they are trying to be.
I do it too, everyone is guilty of it.
Life is serious, you don't have to be.

To me, a real man is someone who is honest with himself & those around him about the things that truly matter. Someone who can be tender & loving when it's required, or a cold-hearted brute when required.

Reminds me of a quote from a book I just read:

...or something along those terms.
