    Default Cardboard Speakers

    MUJI Housewares - Cardboard Speakers

Wow. That is something special right there. Speakers, packed into a collapsible cardboard box. No no, don't laugh just yet. Wait until you see what they're asking price wise for these lil numbers.

    $42.00

HA! You want me to pay $42 smackers for two speakers housed in cardboard? Not unless those speakers are pretty sweet speakers, which in that case, I wouldn't want them housed in cardboard. No no, I think $24.99 is a much more reasonable price. If that means you have to downgrade the speaker quality, then so be it. But I just don't see why anyone would want good quality speakers housed in cardboard, for that price at least. If not for the price, I would probably like them.

Seems like a pretty artsy website, but as artsy products are, they are just a little too pricey. Especially for us modders, who can probably make most of what they sell at half cost. But still, seems like a good website to visit for inspiration. This might be a computer modding forum, but does a blacksmith only make horse shoes? ;-)
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

LOL... as a hifi enthusiast, these things are a joke. You cant get good sound from cardboard box.

Yes, this is the voice of experience talking.. I once boxed a pair of computer speakers into a cardboard enclosure, to make a more portable sound setup for my discman. Sounded like CRAP.

Link is working for me now, and I did anyone read the description?

These Lightweight, collapsible speakers are portable and can be folded away and placed in the included pouch when not in use. Plug them into your personal stereo's headphone jack to enjoy quality sound.
The name "MUJI" is derived from the Japanese phrase "Mujirushi Ryohin," meaning "No Brand Goods." The resulting products are streamlined, environmentally friendly, and beautiful in their simplicity. Made of cardboard and electronic components.
Just highlight some of the good bits XD
