I was thinking about replacing the whole side with plexi, but by doing that (or my other idea of having a plexi "ring" around the sub. see fig. 1) would i not lose sound quality with it being plexi...

yes, that is the correct type, momentary just means it doesnt latch (it is only on when you press it) a bit like a keyboard key..... anyway, my computer will soon use the key switch again which is...
just cut out 2 sides and the top for the main part and gave them all 1 coat of spray paint (and the main panel a 2nd coat) sorry i dont have any pics, i will get some asap.

if you make a new front panel out of metal, plastic or wood but leave your existing one intact, you cant end up with nothing because you still have your old front.
hi, i will post pics soon.... i managed to snap a corner off the top when i was drilling to cut the hole for the drives... the battery in my drill was running out so i pushed harder (very stupid!!!)...

haha, it was only because it came in a dell case :rolleyes: lol
its not a cathode...... its just a blue light, it gives like a plasma effect but in a tube rather than a ball..... bit like a osciliscope wave patern....... it just finishes it off i think :)

I found the solution: remove the clips at the back :) so its secured at the front, top and bottom (some/all of those...
