  1. Re: So who's still around from the old days (pre 2010) ?

I'm still here as well, though like a number of others I disappeared for a good while.

I have returned though, and am even working on a case mod with my girlfriend!

  3. Re: It seems this is not a good time to buy real computers.

I certainly feel like things were better on the processor front back in the days when AMD and Intel were battling it out hard, you could pick up good performing chips for pennies on the dollar...

    Re: Gigabyte HD 6950

Purty, wish you were selling this like 2 months ago before I got my GTX 660 because it looks like they have pretty comparable performance. Oh well, GLWS.
  5. Re: CM Storm Quickfire Pro, Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

    Gotta have different "trim levels".

Sure, they could probably make the Quickfire PRO full backlit for not much more money, but then what difference would there be between it and a similar model...

  8. Re: CM Storm Quickfire Pro, Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

All the keys are basically a translucent clear, with black paint over them. It's done this way so that CM can use the same keys even on "higher end" keyboards that are fully backlit. The paint feels...
  9. CM Storm Quickfire Pro, Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

Mechanical keyboards are making a resurgence in the PC scene and it's pretty easy to see why. Let's start at square one, though.

What is a mechanical keyboard? Well, back in the day, keyboards had...

    Re: whats this....almost 2 pages?

I feel like a number of people have either moved on or are posting exclusively over on sites like bit-tech, overclockers, and [H]ardOCP now as well. People who either used to post here a lot, or who...

    Re: Facebook buys Oculus

I'm glad to see some semblance of sense here on TBCS.

I've seen a LOT of people posting about the death of Oculus and all this other crap just because of the Facebook acquisition.

    OvR hit the...
  12. Re: Remember when these were the coolest cases ever?

Sometimes I still think it'd be neat to build a rig in one of those with all kinds of nasty UV reactive blues and greens and do it up early-00's lanparty style

Re: Can anyone use a 128GB SSD?

I would say "yes" but I already have two SSDs in my computer and I see no reason to be greedy.

    I mean, I could use it, but I won't. ;p

    Re: Battlefield 4 giveaway!

Brotip, at least I've found in MP it's easier to rank up early on by healing or supplying ammo than it is to try and kill the people who have the really good guns.

    Also Conquest is pretty good...

    Re: Battlefield 4 giveaway!

Singleplayer is depressingly short because it's actually really good. Intense for sure though, I can't play more than an hour or two before my eyes and wrist start to hurt.

    Thanks for the tip...

Re: Fractal Design Define XL R2 case review!

I didn't "need" a new case per se. The CM Stacker 830 is still a fantastic case, and I absolutely love it. I'm still debating if I'm gonna offload it, or dick around with it once all the components...
