might I make a suggestion of neither of those, and instead this OCZ:

it is currently king of cpu coolers from the reviews I've...
I would wager that the stock intel heatsink for the 1.6 wouldnt be up to the task of cooling the faster (an obviously much hotter) 3.2GHz cpu.
Would it be feasible to try a new hsf combo?
besides the enzotech with a fan, this taller model would work if you dont have any cards in the way

I think it looks great, but I have a Lian-Li atm which makes it quite hard to justify that purchase
prime 95? back when I had my E6600, i would just run a rather cpu intensive game
samsung drives have a reputation for failing though
heres a P35-based motherboard that would be nice for a budget build by gigabyte

I upgraded from a 3870, i trade and buy a lot and the 8800gts was a good price and allows me to use a fair amount of AA unlike the 3870
While I was thinking about it, the rosewill psu will probably be garbage, and I found a very nice looking coolermaster case without a psu for 10 bucks less

Eh, i got .swf the first time when I was just goofing off clicking random bubbles, not sure if thats an improvement rofl
word of cuation, the 160gig drive is on noisy mofo, i have one and you would be better off going with their 320gb single platter se16
also, for the same price, i think the 512mb 9600gt will...
yeah, it says in stock today for me too, mustve just got a new shipment or smth
ah damn, that 6"er is out of stock. Ive always wanted to try an lcd mod though...
whoops, didnt notice the reply, sorry mate. I got a PNY XLR8 GTS, its stock clocked but ill probably boost it up a bit once i see the temps (motherboards broken atm)
Starting with the graphics, HIS has a decent deal on their variant of the 3870 @ 160 a piece, unless you really feel the need to get 2 x2's

sapphire has a passive 3850, but the heatsink wraps around to the back of the card, if that matters
i just ordered a 8800gts for 239-50 MIR from newegg, the biggest point towards the gts is I believe it uses less power due to the single pci-e connector
If you're running on battery windows usually downclocks the processor to extend life. If you dont care about a drop in battery life you could probably find a way to disable that
eh why not a 9600gt? its only $40 more and offers a hella lot more power for the price
if shes going to be easy on the system, why not save 40 bucks and go for an e8200. also if you do go with the e8200, you could save some cash and grab an ocz stealthxstream 500w unit that would power...
For a budget aluminum case you cant get much better, it looks great and has some nice features. Two things to look out for is that if you remove the cpu duct, itll leave a gaping hole and apparently...
if you look, it says ati reference design only, the power color and sapphire cards do not follow the ati reference design (which is why all the other blocks dont support them)
my best idea is to...
nice, ive got an e8400 as well. If my motherboards would stop crapping out (ip35-e) i would like to see how far i can take it on oc. Cant wait to see what you come up with for the mod
Yeah definitely watch for sales, I got my Acer 19" Widescreen for $150 shipped on newegg about a month ago. If its still relatively cheap I would highly recommend it
I would reccomend eithe this gigabyte
