nice work so far man hows round 3 going?
Well, round 3 is still underway, I hope Dec 16 will be the finale. But back to this project;
Connected everything what I could find, looks really messy!
Right side.
Left side in the light.
Left side in the dark. Here you can see that EL tape glowing quite nice.
Overview in the dark, the EL tape is still loose, but you can allready see the glow
emiting I mentioned before.
A little more close-up of the right arm, the "hand" has no blades attached.
looks crazy! keep it up
I like the green EL tape. It goes good with your color scheme. I used some el wire before but I got a really high pitch whine that came from the transformer, so I was curious if the tape did the same thing.
The tape was a great adition.
Well, at first..... I DID hear a real high whine when I started the comp... and I thought the same thing as you described. Then I realised I had one of the motors in the arms on. That motor made the whine in my mod. LOL I DID however hear of your problem, with EL tape/high voltage transformers. A friend of mine suggested a rubberband wrapped around the transformer, but I dont know if that is any help to you.
tape looks awsome nice work man
Started with the outside covers. This is one of the two rear-triangles.
After the construction-glue sets, ill tidy up the edges.
This is the replacement fan-hand, made from an old VGA-fan.
The left side.
Making the final adjustments.
Glued the covers to the aluminium strips on the side.
View from the rear-left side.
Close-up of one of the gills.
To fit the large strip on the front-left side, I need to cut out a piece for the arm.
Nice and tight fit.
When the right side is fastened, the case is starting to show its shape a lot better.
this things one of the coolest cases I've ever seen
