Re: Asus Northbridge Roaster
You wouldn't happen to be having this motherboard oriented upside down would you? You could try putting a fan over the northbridge. If you do take the stock heatsink off, you could replace it with some Thermalright ones instead of making your own.
Re: Asus Northbridge Roaster
No its in a regular case in the regular orientation :D
Well I really don't want to spend more money on it if its going to continue to be problematic.
Thats what happened the last time, the Northbridge burned up.
It came with fans for the power mosfets heatsinks but it warns not to use them inless you watercool the CPU.
. . My God. . $500.00 Later I have a SLI Rig that runs for a while. :(
You would think that for the $230.00 I paid . .I'd get a mobo that would work for more than a month.
I don't know what to do . . everything is brand new except the Mobo.
I don't have another Socket 775 Mobo laying around.
Should I send the P5N32 back for another RMA?
Re: Asus Northbridge Roaster
I noticed my north bride was a little hot too, but not hot enough to burn me. I added a fan just to be safe.
Re: Asus Northbridge Roaster
I just got off the phone with ASUS they told me to move the RAM
to the second RAM Bus and It booted up just fine.
Hopefully there is no more BSOD.
I'm putting my Northbridge cooler fan back on,
. .Hopefully I have no problems from here on out.
Re: Asus Northbridge Roaster
Well so much for that board. It started doing the same thing, All over agian.
Time to get a ECS Elite Group!
I wish I had just, stuck with them.
