Re: USB headset conversion
partsexpress would have all the cables and plugs you would need.
converting the cups however is a different matter
Re: USB headset conversion
^Yeah. Thankfully, I have sewing skills.
I've already tried looking for them at Mouser. No luck.
Specifically, I'm looking for a 4-pin headphone plug, and a matching jack.
That way, I can use the headet on my computer and my tablet. Or any other device that doesn't have USB. Or a device that has USB, but not a combo mic/headset port.
*Man, Parts-Express seems to be the place for the smaller components for my bike project!
Except the Arduino.
Re: USB headset conversion
You could try making pads from a different set of headphones work
Plenty of headphone parts here

Also to get it clear to me. Did you want one jack with L, R, Mic and Common or two jacks one with L, R and Common and the other with Mic and Common?
Re: USB headset conversion
I want the L/R/Mic/Common configuration, yes. I still want to be able to use the USB module.
Re: USB headset conversion
OK, the USB module's falling apart. I'm gonna ditch it completely.
Now, all I need is the 4-pin connector. I see what I want, but already assembled into other things. I can't just find the connector itself, and a plain old housing to go with it.
*Wait! http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...574509301.html
I'll have to look into that....
