Team TBCS, Folding through Bonic.
While i've got nothing to use this new to me laptop for, im turning it into a folding box (pardon the pun.) When i first learnt about Folding@home, i thought it was pretty cool. However, its limted to particles or some crap that looks like particles. Anyway, i found a better program that actually lets you choose between somthing like 20 diffrent programs to donate CPU Cycles to. I created a TBCS team for SETI, Rosetta, and Spinhenge @Home. If you want to make a TBCS team for other projects, list them here so others can join.
Put that old computer to pratical use; Come join in the Folding!

Heh, wouldn't you guys love if I set it up on my desktop ;)
Re: Team TBCS, Folding through Bonic.
I find it hard to believe that my computer makes much of a difference, when they've got behemoths like Blue Gene out there cracking at it. It's like making penny donations to Bill Gates
Re: Team TBCS, Folding through Bonic.
If i got everyone in the world to donate one penny, i'd be a milti millionair
Re: Team TBCS, Folding through Bonic.
Sry, I got me a folding team. ;)
My server farm is down due to potentially obscene electrical bills, my roomie may not like that sort of thing. Besides, 7 PCs make for a nice heater in the winter time, but we see heat waves of like 110f here in the summer. -_-
Re: Team TBCS, Folding through Bonic.
I've actually got a machine atm sitting around doing nothing...perhaps I'll join the folding team.
