TheGreatSatan's - Bring the Heat giveaway is here!

Summer is coming and there's not too many things Satan loves more than the Heat. For that I am giving away a whole computer! What kind of computer? You won't know till the end, but it's not crap! It's a mid level gaming machine complete with games to boot! Great games!

Help my brother build his art computer!

My brother is going to an art institute college to become a video game graphic designer. One of the things that is required is for them to have their own computer where they live.

His HP a6119h, where the only two upgrades are an x300 GPU and a Pentium D 3.4, just is NOT going to cut the mustard.

Budget isn't going to be a huge deal, as he is going to be getting parts paycheck to paycheck.

First thing he said the school needs is MacOS, but he does NOT want to buy from Apple. I said I know how to do that (so you don't need to help me out there :whistler: ), so, I am going to set him up with a triple-boot, in case he ever comes across any Linux-based companies.

So, a machine with lots of RAM, good CPU, and great GPU, and whatever motherboard happens to be best with MacOS.

Then, this is just my opinion, but not mentioned on the necessities: a digitizer monitor for graphics input.

Again, wondering if anyone wants to benefit from my misfortune for working retail. i7 3770k for ~200 or an i7 3930 for ~250 OBO. the i7 3770k is a 3rd gen chip and the 3930 is a 2nd gen chip. the 3770 is 4 cores 8 w/ hyperthreading and the the 3930 is 6 cores w/ 12 hyperthreading. if no one is interested in this deal (and I am willing to deal, of course) I will post the 3770 on ebay LOL but figured I would give you guys a shot first. shoot me an offer.

Either one is new in box straight from Intel with me as the middleman.

Anyone play World of Tanks?

Hello all casemodders!!

This will be my first work log here. I would first like to thank Cooler Master for the chassis given (CM Cosmos II), and also my other sponsors Avexir and G-vans. In this project I will to try to show the look of a very popular car here in Japan, called Skyline GT-R R34. At this moment,, so i will post the work done on the chassis at this moment. I will show the pictures as soon as I can evolve with the project.

I haven't build something in a super long time, and I have had 5TBs of hard drives collecting dust. So I've decided to buy a small AMD APU board and make a little server for my house.

ASUS Mobo, with a 1GHz dual core AMD APU
8GBs of G.Skill RAM (it's cheap these days so why not? lol)
Some random 1Gbit NIC so I can use this as a firewall
5TBs across 5 drives, all Samsung Spinpoint F3s
SanDisk 32GB SSD as the boot drive
Antec 650W PSU (over kill, had it laying around)

I'm going to make a custom enclosure for it, working on bits in SketchUp right now.

I'll be cutting this piece out ina little bit and post that up. I have to say, using Dropbox with my phone makes this process wayyyyyy easier! "Back in the day" I had to take the pics on my FD-Mavica, transfer to the PC, upload, then post. Now I take the picture, and link it... Awesome!

Just something OvRiDe and I have been working on. If anyone wants one of these I am willing to print a few in Blue for a small price. They do take about an hour to print so I am going to sell the larger ones at $15 each shipped and the smaller ones at $10 shipped. The larger one is about 4" long with the smaller one being about 3". I can go larger or smaller but the cost would be $20+ for a custom one as it will require custom modeling and setup.

I bought these parts to build a Media Center PC and never got around to it. I then decided to build a small desktop but I was given a computer at work so the desktop never got built.
All the items here are new except for the Western Digital hard drive which served up media files for three months while I rebuilt my server.

The motherboard is a Zotac Z68-ITX. It supports i3, i5 and i7 processors with the 1155 socket arrangement. It has two HDMI ports on the back and also has a mini Display Port as well.
It supports SATA II and III as well as USB 3.0. The motherboard also has a full x16 PCI-E slot if you want to use a full size graphics card. Has two Gigabit ports on the back which can be setup for dedicated send/receive.

The memory included is two 4gb sticks of Corsair Gaming memory for a total of 8gb.

The WiFi is handled by a very nice Intel Centrino Ultimate-N card which is already installed in the motherboards on board mPCI-E slot which can also function as an SSD slot.

The hard drive is a Western Digital VelociRaptor. The WD drive is 300Gb in size and spins at 10,000 rpm to serve up some serious speed.

The hot swap unit goes into one 5.25" slot and holds four 2.5" laptop size hard drives. It supports SATA II, III and SAS for super speeds. Comes with two keys and all the screws necessary.

I want to sell this together as a kit. Im looking to get $270 shipped. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

WTH is up with this? seriously, when i was a kid, the most stupid thing we did was climb tall trees and tie cables to the top to make tree swings, or jump off cliffs into rivers....

Really Weird Paint problem

I bought two of the exact cans of spray paint. I did a whole case in it and ran out.

Then I switched to the other can for the top

When it dried it came out darker!

You can see that the tops are the same, but the nozzle color is different

Ever see this before?
