im trying to fix a guitar pedal for my roomie and i need help figuring out how to convert the 12v line on a PSU to the required voltage. below is a pic of the back panel, you can see the requirements to get it running.

Does it say 9VAC on the power socket, or 9VDC?

I was about to ask the same thing--that looks like a wall wart plug, but it looks like AC instead of DC there...strange...

I see 9VAC 1300 mA on the picture...

check a local good will or second hand store... you should be able to find one for about a buck....
make sure you pick one up that is 9 volt ac and is at least rated 1300mA or higher

Agreed.. pick up a used one for cheap. Out of curiosity, what pedal is that? I had a Digitech GNX3 until recently.

so i should be able to find one easily enough? the AC and 1300 mA part made me think it required more than just awall wart that i likely already own, lol

Not a hard item to find. Check out radio shack, they will have what you need. One of my drum machines uses the same (or very similar) converter and I got it at radio shack.
EDIT: Take the pedal with you to match up the plug...
