For that price i seriously suggest you buy a bigger name brand. I've seen too many nightmares with fly-by-night (not saying this one is) e-stores. They vanish on you, with no support.
Get yourself a nice XPS or similar gaming system from a company that plans to be around for a long time.
base price is great, and includes a sweet 20" Dell monitor. (http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsdt_710?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs)

I'm going to have to go with crimson on this one. If your set on the case or certain parts though there are a couple of more reliable online stores ive seen that use the same case

Could you perhaps link me to these sites, I would just like to check out as many options as I can.
And thanks Crimson I'll take your advice into consideration.

You could always get the XPS, and buy that case or another and put the XPS components into it. I'm sure someone (maybe me) would buy the XPS case from you). Not sure if it's worth it but I figure I might as well throw that option out there for you.
I like those XPS cases. Kinda reminds me of the jet intake on an F14.

The Dell cases are not crap at all IMO ...they are extremely well made. Don't blow your warranty by taking the thing apart to put it in a $30 pos gray market imported case because it has a "ninja" symbol on the side.

I never said they were crap. In fact I think they are very well designed and built. I was just offering another suggestion if he was insitant on a certain case. I personally think swaping cases would be a bad idea and withdraw the comment I made in my previous post.

^^ It was just a statement, It's obvious I wasnt quoting you or assuming you thought the cases sucked.

I have a Dell XPS 400
Dells good but there technical support sucks!!!!!! Your phone calls are all over the place, India.....some times my dad couldn't understand most of them.
My dad was on the phone for a good 2 weeks trying to figure out this problem with my computer.
Im not to go through the whole story, First they sent a windows disc, then the FX5200 graphics card (that thing SUCKS,sold to my friend for $50) then they sent the 7300, not so bad but not as good as my 6800 GT, then we finally got a guy who understood what we went through and sent the 7900GTX.
The problem was my video card went, they thought it was a windows problem so they made me format, but they figured out it was a video card problem
You got to fight with them, lol

It looks like a great system. When I last bought my new system- I looked through most of the sites that had advertisments in maximumpc or other gaming magazines. I ended purchasing a system from XtremeGear (http://buyxg.com) and am very happy.

I got my parts from Fry's Electronics.
But if you don't want to build it yourself, go with Dell. They build good, solid machines that have warranties for you to void. ;)

yeah i too would rather build it mnyself then when something breaks, and it will, you dont have to go thruohg your computer producer to get to the original seller and + you know exaactly what everything is and why its not working usually. but other than that id suggest alienware over dell just because its more gaming related even though its ownedby dell

Two things: 1, I gotta agree with Crimson, and 2, why is this in the worklog category?

Dude,
Go with a name brand. It sounds like your a little shakey on the whole decision, that means go with a good name brand. The reason we build our own systems is because we don't (ok, we sometimes probably do) need any customer support. But you might.
By the way I've only had to call CS once. It was my wireless router. I'm no networking ninja... you know?

Alienware is a great brand but they are grossly overpriced (great quality and customer support, very good reputation, but unless you want to spend a fortune go a cheaper route). I know, I used to own one before I built my current computer. Your cheapest bet is just to get all your parts and build it yourself, I have seen that case before several times...or, if you are uncomfortable with putting it together yourself, I suggest going with Cromson's idea and getting the XPS. They are good quality computers and are reasonably priced.
I am also not sure why this is a worklog.
