Hey fellow modders! This is my first mod and im takeking it storng! I'm in creation of a computer called the DarkSide or DS.

Whats The Mod?
It's going to have the picture of death on the side with the text - "The Messenger Of The Past And Nothing More." What im also going to do is get yellow lights and put them in the form of a lightning bolt.

What Form Of Mods?
Of course its going to be a case mod but im going to try and go further like lights.


Whats Inside?
Pretty Much The Best That I Can Buy.

Well, most mods feature some sort of lighting.

"Going Further" in my opinion, however, would be something new, and revolutionary. (Although from what it sounds like, I don't think I've heard of anything like this before).

It would help if you were a bit more specific on plans. Blowholes? Custom paint? Custom frame/enclosure?

Pretty Much Custom Paint And Im Going To Try And Install A Sode Holder. I Saw A Computer With One So I Thought It Would Be Cool. I Really Can't Do Much Because I Dont Have A Lot Of Tours. I'm Going To Try And Do A Custom Case Design.

That sounds pretty cool, do you have any pics of your design yet? Any ideas for a color scheme? Windows, light colors, etc.?

Anyways, welcome to the forums, and enjoy your stay. Also, try not To Type Like This All The Time, capitalizing your first letters, it makes reading a bit hard on the eyes.

Well, you could always paint your internals, and perhaps mod your PSU as well, giving it a paintjob and a window.

P.S. What kind of equipment do you have?

I play with an upped Angel Speed 04' with WAS board and freak barrel kit, Halo B w/ victory board, and a 91/4500 carbon wrapped ACI tank and a 68/4500 carbon wrapped Nitro Duck.

Well, if you have a decent source of income, you can build your toolbase as you go. That's what I've been doing. I started off ArgDawn with nigh but a dremel, and now I'm up to a Dremel, A handheld power sander, a popriveter, a straight file with both single and double cut, a curved file with double cut, assorted drill bits, and some other stuff like screwdrivers. I got most of it with christmas money, too. Hell, for about 150$ or so you can equip yourself with the same brigade of tools and supplies I have.

There's two ways you can go about a cupholder. Either the Thermaltake X-Ray cupholder/cigarette lighter 5 1/4" drive bay thingy, or a custom job. If you're adept with metal, I suggest the latter. Plus, you can get Peltier elements to keep your drink cool or add it in to a watercooling loop!

Well I think metal is the way to go. Plus $150 isnt bad. Can you give me some links to stuff i can buy that would be good Omega? Tybrenis I was thinking of that.

UPDATE!

Well I think im going to buy a case and mod it. It's only my first mod, may want to take it slow. Hm, the case will be able to open down the middle.Opening the middle is the only way to open the computer.

It will contain a cup-holder in the compuer only to open when a button is hit.

Thats about it for now.
