I've also been looking into braiding and heatshrinking my cables for a nice and neat interior.

Couple of things I'm unsure about though.

1) What to do with unused MOLEX or other connections from my PSU.

2) How to effectively remove and then re-install the boots on the cables, as well as any precautions about sleeving inside or up to the PSU.

3) A good source for nice sleeving. I was thinking about guitar cables I have seen sleeved with nylon rope/thread.. does such a thing exist for comp cables?

4) Any other tips and tricks or links to tutorials :)

1) Cut them off :D or hide them behind mobo tray, upper corners, wherever you can put them. the best choice would be custom lines.
2) There are tools for removing the connectors or if you do a search for "molex tool"you'll find a thread about it here
3) there are sleeving kits for computers.
