Well,

Ive had experience before, but its kinda never been mod induced

I have an old P1 system lying around, and im gonna get coyote linux on a floppy and run it.

Its gonna go to my dads house (right now only one comp there, but im gonna put Project QUAKE3 there, so i need to share internet :P)

SOOO, heres the idea

Either find a wooden box, or MAKE a box out of wood to house it....

I might stain it? or just put carpet on it? i dunno........

Im gonna put all the parts in, including the following

-----------------------
Some old 64 Mobo (old IBM)
Intel P1
3 gig HD (might not even need HD)
2 Ethernet cards
Floppy drive
D-Link Hub

----------------------

Im not sure if im gonna run coyote linux or FreeSCO

FreeSCO has good setup, and they both run off floppy.

but here will be the layout

INTERNET ---> MODEM ---> ROUTER/FIREWALL ---> HUB ---> COMPUTERS

Give me ANY input on what i should do for the case....

I want something that will fit the room, i might get some pics of the room this week?

Maybe i should do what this one guy did, he did a mod for his mom, and made it look really homey.... Like drywalled, and trim and stuff....

hmmm

i made my own firewall system 8)

It took me about 3months, but i made one in VB, that stops most intrusions, using a firewall online test, it passed with flying colours.

I can provide you a copy if you like.
